MEMBERSHIP

When you join TESL Ontario, you become a member of TESL Ontario; however, you must select your local affiliate. Our members in North York and York Region work for a diverse group of language providers, including school boards, private schools, colleges, universities, and community agencies.

 APPLY FOR MEMBERSHIP

TESL Ontario offers its members two distinct membership levels: an Accredited Membership or a Standard Membership.

Accredited Membership: This membership category is for individuals who wish to teach non-credit adult ESL in publicly funded programs in Ontario. For more information, please visit the Accreditation section of TESL Ontario’s website.

Standard Membership: This membership category is for individuals working in the profession of Teaching English as a Second Language but are not required by their employers to be TESL Ontario Accredited. This category is also available to language training volunteers, retirees and students at a reduced rate.

Interested persons should apply online using the Online Membership Form by choosing the Standard Membership or Student/Volunteer/Retiree category, or you can print out the Membership Application Form, fill it out, and mail it in with payment to the TESL Ontario office.

RENEW MEMBERSHIP

TESL Ontario will provide you with two renewal notices. The first notice will be mailed to your address 6 weeks prior to your expiry date. The second notice will be emailed to you upon your expiry date.
